Clothing Swaps, The Next Great Brooklyn Tradition

Brooklyn has been known for many great historical traditions.  Brooklyn was the home of the iconic Brooklyn Dodgers.  Places like Coney Island’s Astroland park, now known as Lunapark have become a symbol of the great borough. Lovely fashion boutiques cover the streets of North Brooklyn, establishing the area as a great place to shop in support of local designers and businesses.  This year however, we at Browse & Pick are out to add another great tradition to Brooklyn, clothing swaps.

Now we know swaps have been done before in Kings County and we want to first begin by thanking and encouraging those organizers who are committed to the cause.  However, we have a very ambitious goal in mind for our company.  We believe in the idea behind clothing swaps so much, that we have made it our company goal to make swapping as common as shopping.  The idea is to introduce the experience to the mass audiences across the nation, and in order to be successful in this effort, we needed to put a brand new innovative spin to clothing swaps.  To take the same powerful marketing and branding approach as the retail industry, and apply it to a business completely devoted to swaps.

Our vision is so vast, we cannot share all the details just yet but we can begin with our plans for the next year.  Our goal is to sell out every event we schedule within the Brooklyn area.  As word about our swaps move across the city, we will open up swap events in Manhattan and certain sections of Queens.  Eventually we want the demand to be so high, Bronx residents are demanding our presence.  After this occurs we want to take our swaps to other major cities and repeat the process.   What follows after that is super top secret, but what we plan to do within the next 3 years we can honestly say no one has ever tried before.  We are so excited about this super secret, but in order for it to be made a reality, we have to make our swap events work.

Our master plan begins with our summer fashion swap which we desire to be a positive impact on the residents of Brooklyn. Our tour starts off on Saturday, June 2. Though it is hosted in the BK, we are encouraging fashionistas and parents from all across the city to come join us.  To make Brooklyn the birth place of the greatest clothing swap vision ever! So Join us,clean out your closet, tell your friends and family about Browse & Pick.  You can buy tickets by visiting  our website http://www.browseandpick.com
