5 Places to Visit During Our Fashion Swap Summer Tour in Dumbo: Make it a Night to Remember!

A month into Spring and our fashion swap debut draws closer, 39 days closer to be exact.  By now word has been spreading about our upcoming summer tour and we are so anxious to get started.  We like to see our swap events as an experience and not just a simple event.  Besides what will be going on inside our venue, there will be lots of attractive locations you can visit before or after our swap event that will add even more excitement to your day.  Dumbo, Brooklyn is the neighborhood we chose to host our summer tour.  We didn’t just choose the area because of the available venue, we knew that Dumbo could offer much to our swappers on event days that can truly make Saturday, June 2 or any other tour date a memorable day.

Dumbo is an area that draws many tourists and city residents because it has some unique features to offer.  We have decided to showcase 5 places near our event venue you can visit with your friends and family before or after the event.

1. Brooklyn Bridge Park:  Enjoy a spectacular view of downtown Manhattan, and the Harbor.  In the Empire Fulton Ferry section you can enjoy picnics, sports and great for picture taking.

2. Jane’s Carousel: Perhaps you are coming down with the children and need to leave them with a relative or friend someone nearby to play and have fun while you swap at Swap-a-Coo, kids can enjoy  this famous carousel ride found in the Empire Fulton Ferry section of the Brooklyn Bridge Park.

3. The Greenstone Spa:  Interested in getting some pampering?  Well you can enjoy their 100% organic spa treatments by New York State Licensed professionals just two blocks down from our event location.  They provide massage therapy and much more.  Greenstone Spa is located on 133 Water Street.

4.  Superfine:  This restaurant is a neighborhood favorite and located one block down from our location.  Walk in, and enjoy it’s  retro-industrial architectural elements, Mediteranean food , local bar and even a pool table to get a few games in.  Superfine is located on 126 Front Street.

5.  Watch a Movie at the RERUN!  This theatre is known as the  “indie cinema with a buzz.”  This theatre is truly unique, it’s furnished with refurbished old car seats instead of theater seats, and a bar. This is DUMBO’s first movie theater, opened in 2010. You probably won’t find the Avengers playing here this summer, but if you’re interested in experience indie cinema, you may want to look at what’s playing during our event dates.  Visit their site here for showtimes
